i think discussing politcs is quite helpful when you study a language, it enlarges your active vocabulary - well, as any of the abstract topics does, in fact.

you can also discuss art - music, movies or museums.

we duscussed such topics at our english speech oractice classes at the uni, i think it was extremely helpful. but i am too lazy to go on doing renderings and summaries and analysises...

suggestion for discussion:

what do you think of it?

in my humble opinion, it's victory is one of the signs that the world axis (cultural, economical-what not) moves to the east. to India, china and - why not?- Russia!
